Getting married in times of Corona: - how can this be done in 2020
Corona: Get married in June, July, August, September 2020
Many couples wonder how they can celebrate their wedding in these Corona times. The federal government's Corona regulations in the form of our chancellor are currently restrictive. Thankfully, the country's prime ministers are more liberal and easing is becoming more common.
Can you marry again soon?
Restrictions still apply in May; after all, more people can now be married to the registry office than just the bride and groom; After restaurants reopen on May 18, 2018, celebrations are possible again. A friend of mine is celebrating her wedding in Lower Saxony in August, according to the restaurant, celebrations for up to 50 people are possible. Those are good prospects. I personally think that the easing will be done faster than it sounds now.
The current restrictions are not proportional to the actual effects of Corona. Such a shutdown may have been justified at the beginning of March, but now that more numbers are public, e.g. thanks to Prof. Hree's Heinsberg study, the measures are no longer in proportion to far fewer cases than originally assumed.
The facts about wedding closings in Corona times
According to my research, most of the pages refer to the registry office and the restaurants in the respective municipality. There can be very different guidelines here.
For example, the wedding may be possible under certain conditions, which conditions may be, from a wedding with a mask to a wedding of up to 8 people present in the registry office. How the requirements are structured in turn depends very much on the attitude of the registry office and the service providers.
Today on 16/06/20 I have heard up to 50 poeple are alowed to attend the wedding at a restaurant.
A practical example for going on a paddling tour in Germany during Corona
Yesterday I went paddling with my loved one (in Lower Saxony). It was an experience, the owner brought us the boat, disinfection spray and towels were stored in the car, so we had to disinfect the paddles, use the boat ourselves and put the money in a prepared envelope as if we had bought grass illegally - so adventurous. When paddling we were free of mask and disinfectant and only met other paddlers from time to time. We enjoyed the freedom, the flow of the river, the sight of trees and grass. It was our first trip since the shutdown - just fantastic.
The delivery of the boat was much more relaxed, a group of paddlers gathered at the exit, there was chatting and the return trip was also more creative.
My conclusion for the Corona Time
I strongly believe that all areas will be eased at short notice. Even if your wedding is still carried out with Corona cushions, this can even bring a certain additional adventure component. Nowadays more bridal jackets and bridal sweaters are already being ordered in my shop.
